Amazing God

Yesterday during the cell group meeting, brother isaiah preached about the story of Marah, and taught us how to handle bitterness in life. Indeed the 3 pointers that he preached is so real. As I sat there and listened to the word of God being sent forth through his worker, I cant help but to praise God for his amazing love.

Many people live a defeated lifestyle, even though on the surface, they display a strong front to the people around them. They neve want people to probe into their inner life, and most of the time, this is because there are certain issues in their lives that they do not want to face up to it. Running away from a problem always seem to be the easiest way out, cos at that point of time, it seems that the problem no longer exist. This is really the OSTRICH mentality.

Some other people bear grudges all their lives, because they have been hurt by their loved ones, or being betrayed by someone close to them. As they gradually allow the root of bitterness to grow within them, one fine day, the tree of bitterness will just engulf their whole body, soul and being. They will no longer be able to experience true love from God and the people around them. To them, everyone and everything around them seems to work against them, and they have to be constantly on the guard to be wary of the people around them. And sooner or later, these people will suffer from mental disorder. If you don't know what I am talking about, then just recall the times u see some elderly folks talking to themselves, or scolding an invisible person on the MRT/bus/street, this is what I mean.

Indeed, we have to constant check ourselves to prevent ourselves from falling into such a trap. This is a trap that Satan has set up, and it is so easy for man to fall into it. Simply because this is not a perfect world, every human being has a certain expectation of things and people. And when the things that they expect do not happen, they become disappointed and if they continue to nurse it, one day, they become bitter and eventually, like what the bible says, there is only one ending to such - Death.

However, our God and Abba Father, really loves us too much to allow us to go through that. He always reminds us of His love, and when things do not go the way that we expect, and we become disappointed, it is important that we ultimately go back to God himself for a restoration of his Love in our lives. We need God, and that is a fact. Only God can take away the disappointment and in place, put in love inside us, so that it wun be empty. God is indeed so great, that He still continue to love us and take our hands to take us out of the Valley. Who else, can do that? The truth is, not even ur closest friend or family member or spouse will be able to do that. Only God and Only God Himself is able to do that.<br>

Indeed, I can testify to all the above, cos so many times, God always does that for me. Everytime that I am disappointed, God will always either give me a word during my quiet time or through a preaching @ CGM/service and remind me of His Love. He reminds me, "Hey I am God. Trust in Me, that I can solve your problems, I will take vengence for you, and I will Love you Always." With these words, I know, there is no problem that God can't solve. And Indeed, His love is my Strength. Amazing Love of God.

So friends, are you disappointed today? Are you feeling that your world seems bleak? Then what are you still waiting for? :-)

Gerald has Graduated!

On 14th July 2006, that is the day. That is the day that auntie and uncle are the happiest! I can see that they are so happy, so proud of their son. I can almost see them grinning from ear to ear... finally, this is the day. They have seen how hard their precious son has worked for this piece of paper. Endless night of slogging, revision, projects after projects, and rushing from one place to another to give tuition, serving in the church and cell group and etc.

Yes, the guy that I am talking about in the opening paragraph, is none other than my dear dear, GERALD TAY! Yes, he has finally completed his 3 years of studies and NUS, and obtained that piece of certificate. We also joked, that he is now a Beng.. haha... know why? Cos he has graduated with the Bachelor of Engineering a.k.a B.eng!

Really want to thank Yong Qing, who came all the way down to congratulate Gerald. And of cos, for helping us to take pics and video...we have so much fun snapping away. For those who have missed the event, i have attached a few pictures below.....

Please Pray!

Please pray for my mummy!
She has been having pains in her leg particularly her ankle. She has already seen the doctor 2-3 times and had injections. But until now, the pain still wont go away. The doctor say that it is because of inflammation, but this has already been going on for around 2 months already. And she cant rest from work, and her work requires her to stand for 8 hours every day. So heart pain to her like that... God, Please heal my mummy!
Bible says, there is power in the confession of His Words. And when we have the faith to believe that healing will take place, then it shall happen. As I am typing this now, I am really reminded of the bible story of how this man went to ask Jesus to heal his servant. He told Jesus that He just need Jesus to say the word, and he has the faith that his servant who is in the house will be healed. Jesus commented what great faith this man has. Indeed, I pray for the same kind of faith, that even if my mum is yet to be a christian, Jesus will come and heal her. Cos we believe and have faith and she will be Healed! Hallelujah!
thank You Jesus in advance for the Healing~ I know it is taking place! Amen!!!!!!!

Never procrastinate...

Just like the header goes, I have learnt my lesson. Truly, my word of advice to all out there, and of course, serving as a reminder to myself, DO NOT PROCRASTINATE

There are so many things that are to be done at the right moment. Once we lose the opportunity and correct timing, often we have to rework our schedule around it to find the next better time to do it.

Once it is lost, it is lost. Come'on guys. Lets do it now! Strike while the iron is hot!
