A Place Of Influence and Authority!

Been very blessed since last week sermon that Pastor Kong preached. Pastor talked about being an influence in the market place and this week was a continuation. It was really a message that literally blown my mind off !

The key: God loves the rich just as much he loves the poor. And we need to have a change in our paradigm mindset. Pastor talked about we should get out of our traditional mindset that is hindering us by keeping us in our past. Its really while u take a step forward, u are taking 2 steps backwards.


From the simple parable that Jesus taught the disciples in Luk 19:5-26, there are 3 things we can learn:

A) In this world that has rebelled against Jesus Christ, God still wants us to excel in whatever we do in our marketplace, be it our school or work place.

B) To the degree that we excel and prosper in the marketplace, that determines the degree of auithority we have in the market place.

C) Jesus Christ will not return to deal with his enemies until all his servants have begun to rule and reign in the marketplace.

Therefore, always rememeber: Influence and respect is never automatic. It comes from servanthood. As we serve people and serve God, we begin to earn the influence of them for Christ.

I love the part especially when pastor talked about Servanthood. We must have a servanthood mind and heart. And we are all ministers in what we do. This simply means that ministry is not only the 2 hours that we spend in church, but it is something that we do 24 times 7: EVERYDAY should be where we minister that every person that we meet in our lives.

So the question: What is your mindset about your work and your work place?

Ans: There are 4 levels of mindsets that God wants to change in the workplace:

Level #1: Just a Christian
(Someone who treats the world as the enemy and always think that the world is an evil place. Only thinks that he should go into full-time ministry and stay away from the unbelievers)

Level #2: A Witnessing Christian
(Someone who is more concerned about winning souls for Christ at the workplace than concentrating on the job)

Level #3: A Christian who apply biblical principles in workplace
(Someone who just wants to overcome temptation and be a good testimony.No more, no less)

Level #4: Total Transformation
(Someone who is a leader in the industry they are in, walk in the presence & bring down the Kingdom of God in the market place)

Yesh! Level #4 is what we should pursue.

I make a decision I must move towards level #4, so that I can be used by God to change the world as I begin to change the marketplace.

I am so excited about what God is going to do in my life, in City harvest and in E335. I am so excited that Pastor is preaching about shining in the marketplace. I believe that is really a message in time for me.
